Gave my first gmat 20 days ago scored a score of 410 after the practice daily... Scored 430 in 1st gmat prep test.... 460 in 2 nd prep test.... 530 in 3rd..... 560 in the 4th.....and 640 in 5th.... Though there were many repeated questions...... After 2days later of 5th gmatprep test gave
mgmat test1 got 540....got depressed....... After 2 days of practice over the wrong ans and their concepts gave a veritas prep test 1..... Score a 560.....as there was only 3 days left for actual main exam started prep over the concept which i lacked in those test.
Then it was the d day i was nervous..... I was hoping that wish i get 650 which is my target.... But was highly depressed over 450..... It made me fall down over my dreams..... Need help guys.... Some suggestions over how can i improve my score.... I just need 650 ranged score as I'm targeting mim colleges.
Going by your scores, you need to build fundamentals before diving into solving questions. For GMAT preparation, you need to build the concepts/fundamentals before you jump in solving the problems. You can do so by choosing one of the following ways:
1. In person classes/private tutoring
2. Online classes
3. Self paced online preparatory course
4. Book heavy approach
Whatever you choose, make sure that you choose one. Because GMAT tests you on some concepts and fundamentals that you can learn from a course. Most of the preparatory companies including ours offer a free trial of our course. You can take the trial and see if the course suits your needs.
In addition to the preparatory material, buy the Official Guides(both the Official Guide and the Verbal Review), Question Pack 1 and the 4 official mock CATs. They should be an indispensable part of your preparation.
