Hello everyone,
I'm going back to GMAT again [in a few weeks] after being completely away from it for 3-4 months.
A little background on my GMAT journey: I got 700 (Q49, V35) in July and was gonna apply to b-schools this year, but due to a personal issue decided to postpone my application to September 2020 (for class 2023). So I'm going back to GMAT again to hopefully boost my gmat 30-40 points to ~740. I highly appreciate any feedback and advice, especially from other recent gmat takers who've been in the same situation.
I have already gone through MGMAT books, e-GMAT verbal online course, and Empowergmat online course. I've done many CATs including those 6 official CATs from GMAC, MGMAT CATs, and a few Kaplan CATs.
At this point I just don't quite know what to read and how to proceed. I need a road-map and new guidance on what to study at this stage. Should I re-read the contents I've already read or should I try new resources?
I've been thinking to re-read MGMAT SC book, and start reading PowerScore CR and RC books. Is this reasonable?

Hi ZM308,
First off, a 700/Q49 is an OUTSTANDING Score, so you can comfortably apply to any Business Schools that interest you. As such, a retest might not be necessary. Depending on the Schools that you plan to apply to, you would likely find it beneficial to speak with an Admissions Expert about your overall profile. There's a Forum full of those Experts here:

There's no harm in restarting your studies and retesting though. To properly plan out this next phase of your studies, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on your prior studies and goals:
1) Have you taken the Official GMAT more than once (and if you have, then what were your other Scores?)?
2) How long did you study for this July attempt?
3) On what dates did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?
4) What Schools are you planning to apply to?
You might also choose to purchase the Enhanced Score Report. While the ESR doesn’t provide a lot of information, there are usually a few data points that we can use to define what went wrong on Test Day (and what you should work on to score higher). If you purchase the ESR, then I'll be happy to analyze it for you.

I think that you are very well prepared to retake GMAT and score higher!
For the next few weeks, I recommend that you review only Official GMAT questions (even if you have already solved those questions.) For example, if you were relatively weak in SC, review official questions and make sure you can get all right. And if you could, you are so much better now.
Also, you do know about the new book "GMAT Official Advanced Questions", right? If not, definitely get a copy.
Good luck!
