Hello fellow GMAT Club Members,

I was hoping you could help me. I am targeting a 650 GMAT score and I did a mock test and the individuals score appear to be near the 650 but I do not understand how the overall score came to 600 (pic attached). Any views why this happened and any advise on how to improve?

Thank you very much for your time.

Total score of 600 takes into account of your performances in both Verbal and Quantitative sections.

Your verbal score seems to be lower than 600.

Hi yppaul,

As some of the other posters have pointed out, your attached information doesn't include anything about your performance in the Verbal section - and that is relevant to assessing your overall performance and Score. Assuming that you took this CAT in a realistic fashion that matches-up with how you will take the Official GMAT, you're closer to a 650+ than you probably realize. Before I can offer you any additional advice for your studies, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) How long have you studied? How many hours do you typically study each week?
2) What study materials have you used so far?
3) On what dates did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?

Goals:
4) Is your overall goal score 650 or something else?
5) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich
