I just finished the GMAT Prep Mock test and scored 675. I have attached the details. I am ok with my performance in Q & DI here, but I feel I could have improved in Verbal given it was my strong suit. Additionally, till now I have been following Q>DI > Break > V, but today I gave V > Q > Break > DI because I kind of felt that I was getting stressed out when it came to DI just after Q.

What do you suggest I can do for a quick push in V so that I can get the score to 695 in official? I will be revising the incorrect questions and will be doing drills around inference questions in RC and some hard questions in CR to keep me in the zone, and on the test day, I will solve a few questions beforehand as I will be going ahead with V> Q > Break > DI.

Hi kryptonpj,

I see your test is in just a few days, but why don't you take one more official GMAC practice exam to see where you stand?

Thanks! I agree with your suggestion on working on inference-type questions, and even in the mock I just gave, I saw its inference questions I made mistakes in and for today and tomorrow, I will try to focus on these questions. Also, it would be great if you could give some suggestions based on the recent GMAT official Mock I have given. I know the official exam is in 2 days but I think I will be able to push my score by 20-30 points focusing on weak areas in short time.

All the best on the 2nd. For RC, becoming familiar with how inference questions work may help a bit. If you feel it takes you a bit of time to warm up, consider doing a few questions beforehand (i.e. not letting the first questions you see on the day be those of the actual exam).

Hi kryptonpj

This is the time when I avoid giving suggestion to anyone who has test pending in next 2 days.

This is the time you should be spending analysing the mistakes fomt he previous test sthat you have taken for practice.

I was really worried about your performance when you shared your first post stating having taken just one test and other sectional tests. That test didn't correctly represent your score either.

But now looking at your score in GAT PREP mock exam makes me confident that you will do well in exam.

Quant is a key to great score as it helps in performing well in DI as well. Target 90 in Q and 83 in DI and I am sure your actual score would be in excess of 675

Let me know the score that you get.

All the best!

I will be taking the official GMAT on Monday, June 2nd, and I have been taking various sectional tests, which have yielded decent scores. I took the GMAT Club's first free test and scored 635, where I found the DI to be very tough compared to GMAT prep tests. I scored 665 in my last GMAT prep test (Given 2 weeks back) and scored DI 83 in that test, with 16 correct out of 20, but in the GMAT Club test, I could only score DI 78 with 7 correct out of 20. For other sections, I scored Q83 (5 Wrongs) & V83 (4 wrongs with 100% accuracy in CR). I have the following questions:

1. I have scored 90%ile in DI up until now, and I will be focusing on checking the incorrect questions to date and revising the weak areas
2. I feel Q & V are going good and will do a basic drill to keep me in the zone.

It will be really great if I can get some suggestions around the next steps, even if the suggestion is rescheduling the official exam. i have also attached my GMAT club test report for reference

Hey All,

I took my official GMAT, but I scored only 615. However, when I reviewed the scorecard, I sincerely believe that it still went well, as I answered fewer questions incorrectly, which usually results in a very good score. I have little clue about what I should do next here. Pls suggest

Thanks for sharing the progress. It seems like there is scope of improvement for RC, have you tried LSAT questions? If not, practicing them might be helpful.

All the best!
