Thanks for the feedback Jon. Absolutely love your company (and design), and the culture that YOU and your company exude. You gave me a profile evaluation last year (back in November after I applied to Tuck). I have developed A LOT and ended up not applying to my other schools in R2 because of time constraints and I knew I would be much stronger this year. I FEEL ready.

Big lessons I learned from last year:
1. GMAT didn't help (or hurt) me (I totally bombed one RC group on DNA... I know I can do better and am enrolled in The Economit's +50 guarantee)
2. My essays did not make me unique enough (in my opinion); I hope to improve my writing with my blog
3. My interview got away from me (I consider myself a GREAT people person and interviewer, but let myself talk to much and was unfocused)

Questions:
1. Should I communicate my long term goal or stick with the short term goals?
2. Any other feedback?

Now the big question: Do I need a consultant?

I expect a TOTALLY OBJECTIVE answer

Hey dude,
Overall things look very good (although I would need more detail on your work experience to get into your profile really).
But sounds good from the get-go. And I like your ambition and clarity. And I think Top 10 schools for you are reasonable.

The only question I have is: Do you REALLY need to retake that GMAT? True that a 740 would look sweeter, but are you sure to get it? What if you don't? Plus, actually a 710 could be good enough to get you in everywhere. A LOT will depend on your profile and work experience. But on the other if you are pretty sure you can get 30 points higher, it can give your profile a valuable boost. Tough call here, because right now we are almost at a time where essays are released (okay, actually some essays ARE already released) and it's basically time to start to get to work on those. Thoughts?

Best,
Jon

Thanks man,
That's a mighty kind thing of you to say.

Since you asked, to me it sounds like you need a consultant. I mean, your profile is great, but you admit that your two weaknesses were essays and interviews. And what do we do? Help folks with essays and interviews :) So basically you would benefit most from some consulting.

But don't take my word for it (and I mean this seriously). Spend a little bit of money and decide for yourself. Do a ding analysis on your essays: https://admissionado.com/mba/services-pr ... -analysis/. Find out IF you need a consultant, and if your consultant is good. It's as simple as that. But if it's your essays or your interviews or strategy that's at fault, I'm sure we can make magic with it.

BTW Where'd you apply last year? And what were the results?

Anyhow, drop a line either on our website, or chat with Lauren, Director of Operations: [email protected], tell her I sent you, and why you are emailing her, and we'll get you set up.

For your more specific questions, let's have a look at what you wrote last year first, and see how that worked (or didn't). Things'll be a lot clearer once we have a read.

Best,
Jon

Well then! Have you done anything in the meanwhile in regards to Tuck and their waitlist? I mean sending in extra materials, hopping by for a visit, anything like that?
