Thanks for the feedback.
Well, I'm project manager in a greenfield project leading a team of 9, and was among the first ones of my batch to get promoted. Is there anything specific that can help you evaluate? Which other colleges would you suggest?

hi,
I am Ambarish (25, M) from India, currently working in Tata Steel since last 4 years (recently promoted), completed my B Tech in Mech Engg from IIT Roorkee in 2011 (GPA 8.82/10, class rank 4/57). Published a research paper in ASME back in college, won several events and competitions. Started a group in college that organized workshops, seminars etc. Have organized some charity events and mini marathon. Off late, have been working on a start-up to bring NGOs and volunteers on a common platform.
GMAT - 760 (Q50, V42, IR8, AWA4)
Dream School- Stanford GSB, HBS
After MBA, I wish to come back to India and work in education sector (thinking of taking education to the areas where it has not reached yet. still working to firm up the idea)
Gave GMAT last year and was planning to apply last year only, but couldn't really make-up my mind (to be honest, i was having doubts whether I needed MBA)
Request you to evaluate my profile and give any other advice you would like to.
Hey there,
Good to hear from you dude.
Well, so far what I can see looks great - you graduated from a great school with a great GPA, and have a great GMAT (well done!) and work for a well-known company.
But other than that I don't really know enough about what you do, what you have done, how fast you have moved up, how much leadership you have.
I think your base profile seems good enough to make Top 10 in range, but I'm not sure it's wise to apply ONLY to HBS and Stanford (although yes, you should definitely give them a shot). I'd recommend adding another 3-4 schools in the top 10.
Best,
Jon
