I am originally from India. Currently working in US on OPT. Planning to apply for 2019/2010 intake.
Target Schools: SPJIMR, ISB, IIM's (The one's accepting GMAT), TAPMI
Below is my profile.
Academics:
10th (2007): 93.83%
12th (2009): 94.7%
UnderGrad (2009-13): B.Tech Electronics and Communication Engg 80.19% (out of 100%)
Master's (MS) Oklahoma State University (2015-17): Management Information System GPA: 3.56/4.0
Work Experience:
1. Happiness Consultant (3 months)- For a start up in Hyderabad which organizes surprises.
2. Tata Consultancy Services (17 months) - Assistant Systems Engineer
- Worked as Quality Assurance Analyst for a Banking Client based out of US.
3. Graduate Assistant (9 months): During my Master's
- Worked as Graduate Assistant for Assistant Dean of Engineering College
4. Program Specialist (6 months till date) - For a non profit (Fire Service) in US
- Work on managing the program
- Keep track of action items
- Report writing - sent to clients based out of Middle East
- Providing continuous feedback
- Maintain the database
- Work of MS SQL Server Management Studio
- Lot of managerial stuff.
- Public Relations/Client Management
Awards/Achievements:
1. School topper in 10th Standard
2. Constant topper of the class for 3 consecutive years in all the examinations- so, the school fee waived for every year
3. Received fee waiver for 11th and 12th standard based on my acads.
4. Top performer in Under Grad
5. Received Overseas Education scholarship of INR 10,00,000 from our state government in India. One of the 200 recipients for the year.
6. Instate fee during Master's for 2 semesters
7. Several awards/schoalrships in school for essay writing, cleanliness, academics
Extra Curricular:
Undergrad:
1. General Secretary for Electronics Student Association for 4 semesters in undergrad.
2. Head coordinator from the department for National Level technical Fest leading a team of 30, handling 10 events and fundings/sponsorships.
3. Worked for a NGO which provides career guidance for under privileged high school students. This was for 4 semesters in Under Grad.
4. Head of the class/Class representative in undergrad for 3 years (6 semesters)
5. Head of the learning batch (60 trainees) during training in TCS.
6. Volunteered for organizing the technical fest during my training in TCS.
7. Public Relations Intern for International Student Organization for a semester during Master's.
8. Vice President for Indian Students Association for a semester and then served as President for one semester. Won several cultural competitions under my tenure which were never achieved before.
9. Volunteer for guidance and profile evaluations for MS in US and a Moderator for the forum "EDULIX"
Planning to take my GMAT this summer. Q: 44, V:7 in my PowerPrep practice test 1 (Date: 1/8/2018).
My GRE:
1st Attempt (2013) - 302 (Q:160, V:142, AWA: 2.5)
2nd Attempt (2014) - 310 (Q:165,V:145, AWA:3)
What would be an ideal GMAT score to get into schools like ISB, SPJIMR, TAPMI, IIM's etc.
What are the strengths and weakness of my profile? Anything I can do to make my profile strong. Your suggestions will be valuable.

Okay dude, great to hear from you!
So before we get into the meat of things, I have to say I am super curious about one thing: What is a "Happiness Consultant"? And how do I stay happy always ?
Okay I'm kidding. But please do elaborate. I'm not sure what that could be.Now, to answer your first question: anything above a 720 is solid for ISB, IIMs.... Obviously, the higher you score, the better. That's just the nature of scores....
I think right now the main potential "issue" to deal with is that your work experience is a bit choppy and doesn't follow an obvious and natural flow. And we have to smoothen and hone the story so that the trajectory from your studies to your post-MBA and long-term goals goes real smooth.
It's also not really clear to me at this point, what your achievements are, and whether you have any leadership at work, and these are two fundamental factors of your profile.
But overall, you are off to a good start. and really your launchpad is your GMAT score. So go make that happen!!

To answer your question, "Happiness Consultant" - That was a cool title we came up with. During my role as Hapiness Consultant, my duties were to reach out to clients, get to know them and their needs. In the end, suggest them a nice surprise they would like to order for their loved ones. Isn't this a cool job?
I took up this job for 3 months while I was waiting for my joining date with TCS.
When you say "I think right now the main potential "issue" to deal with is that your work experience is a bit choppy and doesn't follow an obvious and natural flow." What are you referring to here?
Is it the transition from Assistant Systems Engineer to Program Specialist(which involves IT+ Program management)? Could you elaborate
To elaborate on my achievements -
1. I was the School topper in 10th Standard
2. Received fee waiver for 11th and 12th standard based on my acads.
3. Received Overseas Education scholarship of INR 10,00,000 from our state government in India. One of the 200 recipients for the year. This was when I was doing my Master's. I received the scholarship based on my acads.
Leadership Capabilities
While at TCS -
1. Lead a QA project and worked directly with the client and other vendors. This was within my first year with TCS. The manager had trust in my capabilities and gave me this responsibility.
Current Job role -
1. I lead the IT related stuff for the team and make recommendations related to IT.
2. I support the whole team through my information management skills and keeping the team on track constantly.
I have got multiple leadership roles as part of extra curricular activities. i am sure they count as well. Right?
