I also agree better to boost your GMAT score by 20-40 points in order to compensate for your low GPA. Rest seems fine and will help you to get through the journey.

It's our pleasure. I hope you get a sense for the individualized attention and detail we spend with each of our clients and, in your case, even non-clients!

Regarding the GMAT, based on what you are telling me, you have make great progress just in your 6 practice tests. Why top out now? You are right; there definitely is a cost/benefit to preparing and retaking the exam, but the GMAT is that critical, particularly for someone who needs to overcome a real weakness. Great essays will definitely help but why handicap yourself if you have time and ability to do better? Even putting in 30 minutes a day, while not a huge commitment, could make a big difference.

Have you also considered UVA? You might have a shot. It is probably in the reach category, but is somewhat close to geographic preference.

Please reach out again if you need any more help. Our team is on standby in case you decide you need a consultant to help you work through these questions and any others that inevitably arise over the next year or so!
