Hello, everyone
I have been rejected by INSEAD and IESE in R1 September 2025 intake. I applied by myself as I was low on savings for a consultant.
I am from India, and I am a dentist
Maybe I was overly ambitious with the schools I selected.
I've worked in private dental clinics and am currently working as a medical consultant for an insurance company
I have about 3 years WE NOW (4 by the time classes start)
My GMAT was fairly low (670 Q45, V37, IR 4, AWA 6) , my GPA is 3.72/4.00 (I need to boost my GMAT, I know)
I have decent extra curriculars and volunteering experience.
I want to get into healthcare consulting and healthcare management
I have a hard time networking because my circle mainly consists of doctors and dentists
If someone is able to help me form opinions about improvisations I can make until the next round and decide my target schools, I would highly appreciate it
If you can overlook my failed application, I can email you PDFs of my complete applications.

To be quite honest, I’m not sure it would be a useful exercise to review your applications & rec letters because even if they were super on point I’ve never heard of an Indian male getting into those schools with that score. Also 3 years WE is quite low for European schools; average is 5 for US schools and a year or 2 higher in Europe.

There are few things I would like to highlight.
1. Less experience (top EU schools expect around 6 years of experience)
2. Low GMAT score (at least 700 for both the schools, FE 655)
3. No international exposure (especially for INSEAD)
4. Could you highlight more about the work experience? It is also a very important factor. There are many doctors opting for B-school and it's difficult for these B-schools to place them especially, if there is no prior corporate work experience (3-5 years)
5. Also, for your professional goals, don't come to Europe if you don't have 3-4 years corporate experience. These fancy MBAs may not be useful for doctors without corporate work experience.
