Hi, I need some help with an application question. One of the first questions on many applications is:
"Were you ever the subject of disciplinary action at a prior academic institution?"
During my undergraduate years I received a short stint of social probation for being a part of a physical altercation that occurred on campus. It isn't something that appears on my transcript and I'm not even exactly sure that my undergrad school keeps those records. Is the question above something I should answer yes to? Technically speaking the correct answer is yes, but I feel as though the questioned is designed more for things like plagiarism. Does admissions even take the time to call undergraduate schools to find stuff like that out? If I select yes, is it something I should address in the dreaded optional essay?
Just looking for some advice here on what should I do.
Thanks for help!
