Hi, thanks in advance for the
profile review. Would love some help in which tier of schools to aim for (M7, T10, T15, T20?)
Aiming for R1 2020 deadlines· Demographics (nationality, gender):
Hong Kong Citizenship (Indian/Pakistan Ethnicity), Male, 27 at matriculation· Education:
Top 10 Engineering Undergrad (Berkeley, Michigan, Georgia Tech), Engineering w/ 3.25 GPA (medical reasons). · GMAT:
760 (Q49,V45)· Work experience (highlight amount of work experience, industries, roles, promotions, special accomplishments, international exposure):
1 year at a boutique (no-name) consulting firm in financial change management. Worked with non-profits and higher ed. institutions.
3.5 years (at matriculation) at a Top 20 University/Healthcare System in Corporate Strategy and Finance practice. (1 promotion). · Extracurricular activities:
- Founder of a club in undergrad
- VP Finance of another club in undergrad
- Director of Volunteering at a local clinic (started the volunteer program) - Have a big impact here. $100K fundraising over 5 years, lead seminars, recruited 20 volunteers etc. · Post-MBA goals:
Healthcare Strategy Consulting out of MBA. Then transition into a Healthcare Tech Startup or firm. Goals primarily driven by medical issues since childhood/college. Btw, I've fully recovered. · Target schools:
Thinking Booth, Kellogg, Tuck, Fuqua, Ross, Tepper in that order. Would love some advice here. · Other information relevant to your profile:
Have had a small business selling tech related goods to individuals in my city for 5 years. Revenues are nothing to speak about but it's been helpful in mitigating healthcare expenses.Questions:
What tier of schools (or specific schools) should I be aiming for? I'm guessing top 20 is doable but how high can I go with such a profile?
Am I competitive for M7/Tuck?
Would love candid feedback!Thank you so much! I really appreciate you guys doing this.
