Hi  Siddharth10 ,

You don't mention your timing, but if you are intending to apply in the upcoming cycle to top US programs, I highly recommend that you hold off for now. While I like the fact that you are at a top management consulting firm with global exposure, and have already been promoted once (nice) and garnered kudos, you only have 2 years of experience vs. the norm of 4-5 (5-6 at matriculation at most top schools). This will likely be difficult to overcome, since you are also applying from a highly competitive group. I'd keep working, cultivating strong recommenders, hopefully getting another promotion and more responsibility and actively working in some kind of community leadership role if possible (whether at work or outside). I'd also retake your GMAT - generally "overrepresented candidates" can take as a rule of thumb the guideline to aim for a score 20-40 points or more above the published school averages. Because there are so many fantastic candidates who are roughly in your category, the schools get to be picky and often will select the very strongest applicants (a part of which is bringing high scores).

My best advice: keep up the good work, retake your GMAT to try to boost your verbal side (your quant is already good), and continue pursuing stretch assignments and leadership/impact opportunities, and then revisit the plan in a couple of years!
