I just got off the waitlist at Tuck and need to weigh it against a full-tuition scholarship at Darden. I view the two schools as extremely similar, and I don't want make a decision based on money. I feel like I already have the Tuck network, so going to Darden would expand my network more. Darden's the up-and-comer in the northeast, while Tuck's has a well established network.
My background: White, male, northeast US, ivy undergrad, working in finance/consulting currently
Career goal: move into non-profit endowment management or strategy consulting
My opinions on both:
Darden: (1) most engaged students; (2) strong alumni that get back to you instantly; (3) great quality of life; (4) on the upswing
Tuck: (1) stronger reputation in the northeast; (2) more alumni in strategy consulting; (3) students come from more brand name companies (4) "old boys club" networks
