Please guide!!!
The ISB results are not out yet. But i am most hopeful that i will be able to get through.
Personally i want to pursue options between Product Management and Tech consulting post MBA.
Also have inclination to work abroad (not limited to US)
Goizueta/Smith ~ Both have offered scholarship
I am also inclined to pursue MBA which provides me with Global exposure. I also have no issues with spending time (mid-term to long term) in US. Really exciting school culture.
The issue is H1B.
I will incur a loan of $60,000 - $70,000 to pursue Goizueta/Smith. Post MBA and 1 year OPT if i am forced to return India.. i would be in deep trouble of paying $ loan in Rs.
The latest figure of 233,000 applicants for 85,000 H1B visa's is a scary figure.
Btw cost difference between Goizueta and Smith ~ Goizueta costs $20k more.

Smooth Placement Process in campus. Ample Tech opportunities in Product Management.
Downside is no international exposure.

What are chances of getting sent to a parking spot foreign location for a year in case H1B is denied? Am i thinking too far and too pessimistic?
Does the US MBA experience outweigh the cost?

Dude, I am in the same boat.
I would say Goizueta. ISB is costly too with the current fee structure.
The exposure and potential opportunities is worth the risk ($20k extra compared to ISB). Goizueta boasts impressive placement stats especially in consulting.
