Great advice above. I would say that the concept of recruiters being interested in an "exotic" degree because of unfamiliarity sounds fairly bogus to me. If there are a lot of alums in Chicago that would be an advantage not a disadvantage so you can toss that rationale out. I generally subscribe to the belief that if you eventually want to work in a part of the country and have the opportunity to go to school there with everything being equal then I always recommend to go that route. Kellogg is the better brand but conduct the self reflection and school research referenced above and then make your decision.

Good Luck!

Thank you!

Thanks for the advice everyone. I did some further research and decided to go with Haas. I really like the cohort style of Haas' program. Feels much more like an actual program as opposed to Kellogg which just feels like I'd be taking some evening classes and that is it. Haas PT program also seems much more integrated with their full time program, and if I wanted to I could complete an internship after the second year of my program, similar to the full-timers, as long as I quit my current job.

In general I got a much better sense of the Haas community, and they really sold themselves on the experience. Kellogg has the brand name which is great, but I know I'll still have great opportunities open up with an MBA from Haas as well.

Good for you. In the end we can provide food for thought and consideration, but you know what is best. Congrats!
