I think you hit the nail on the head in your post and should just go with your gut. In a situation like this there really is no wrong answer.

NYU is obviously in the city and will really help you network and find an opportunity post grad. Yale has the brand and name cache that will follow you for the rest of your life.

An alternative may be to apply to Columbia or Cornell if you are looking for that Ivy tag, but also want to be close to Wall Street. If you're good enough for NYU and Yale, those two schools might be within your reach.
