I have been admitted to Mays with good scholarship and I am awaiting decision from Schulich. However, I have to accept Mays soon.

I have a Canadian PR too. I was wondering if someone can help on which school should I choose.

Even if I get admitted to Schulich, is it worth enough compared to Mays? I believe RoI would be definitely higher at Mays considering the scholarship I got.

I would not sacrifice being in Canada and get degree from there, unless I have offer from big school. Mays is very small school in Texas.

What did you see in Mays that would help you advance in you career compared to Schulich?

If you want to stay in Canada, so get your degree from there and invest your time to network and get an opportunity. If I get an offer from from M7, the it would be anotehr story and I may consider this real opportunity that could work in both sides (Canada and US)

Thanks for your reply. Mays has got a very good RoI as well as network. It has a smaller class size. Moreover, with the scholarship, Mays will come out far cheaper than Schulich. Pay post-MBA would be more in US. Hence, considering all these aspects, I am still favouring Mays.

With your background and work authorization, I would highly advise AGAINST going to Mays, no matter how much money they offered. Mays is a very small program with very limited reach/network - highly focused in Texas' Oil & Gas. Even assuming you want to get into Oil & Gas in Texas, you would be hard pressed to find an Oil & Gas company in Texas willing to sponsor your work visa. You also need to consider your ability as an Indian to advance in O&G in a Southern US state.

Thanks. I wish to go into consulting or operations post-MBA. I don't mind if the profiles are related or completely unrelated to O&G.

I believe Texas market would have more opportunities for me considering my prior experience in O&G. On the other hand, Ontario (Canada) will not have the same as lot of opportunities are in Finance/Marketing roles.

From that angle, is it justified to think about Mays?
