Guys,
Need help in selecting the right school for Ms in Finance in USA.
What should one choose locations vs course?
People attended/ attending the above colleges would love your opinion on the same.
Hello
Akshaya2794Congratulations on being admitted to those good schools
If you have asked about Baruch College, Financial Engineering, MFE that would be easy choice
https://mfe.baruch.cuny.edu/curriculum/It is not that easy to distinguish between those two programs, except of the obvious location benefits for Baruch.
Both programs are STEM and AACSB accredited, which is good.
I went through both curriculum's and I like Mathematical Methods for Finance at Jindal, on the other hand Zicklin has Econometrics.
Except for that both programs are not that much Quant which is a pitty, although Zicklin has a little bit of advantage in that sense, having (FRM) prep incorporated.
Jindal is just CFA prep, however that might be just enough for you, if that concentration match your interest.
https://jindal.utdallas.edu/files/2018_ ... inance.pdfhttps://zicklin.baruch.cuny.edu/academi ... s/finance/In Master of Science in Finance Cohort option at Jindal there are Quantitative Methods in Finance.
If you have that opportunity and decide to go with Jindal I would rather recommend Master of Science in Finance Cohort option than MS in Finance.
All in all, I would recommend you to go with Baruch Zicklin, it is better known name in Finance industry, you will benefit much more from NY location in terms of networking, job opportunities and quality of class mates and professors, that can come from other (MFE, for instance) programs as well.
Good Luck with decision
