Congrats on your admits!!!
Both are great schools. Booth is better

also Darden is a slightly different program because it uses case method for a lot of the classes. That is often a unique aspect of the program that either draws people or repels them. It’s a meaningful factor to consider.
I admire the fact that you would save $70,000 for the taxpayers and potentially for your G.I. Bill to use later (or maybe I don’t know how it works and you would actually get to pocket the money?) but I’m not sure that you would. I wouldn’t consider it free money, more like hazard pay for compensation for taking an older piece of gear as a post to the latest version.

Booth is meaningfully stronger for consulting. Frankly, many people would consider Booth even if the money was coming out of their own pocket. It’s very admirable that you want to be responsible with the GI funds. However, that offer is there for a reason. My cousin was in the army for six years and I know some of the challenges have to go through. He sacrificed a lot of his time and mental energy. I wouldn’t feel too guilty taking the money though your situation could’ve been different. Coming out of the military, you need all The help and resources you can get. You don’t try to find the enemy within the equivalent force, you want to have an overwhelming response. Booth gives you that edge.
I would also point out that well many schools report consulting numbers, not all rules are equal. For example Chicago New York offices are the most popular because that is where the strategy teams are and that’s where the best management consulting placements exist. There are different offices in different rules and while the pay may be similar, none of that is reflected in the employment reports.
My only other suggestion would be to look at the military clubs at both schools and see if one of them is stronger than the other. I couldn’t imagine that Darden would beat Booth but who knows... Military club will be a great resource and your additional network for recruiting. It would be worth trading rank for a better military club on campus.
