Congrats on your admits!
It’s a good dilemma to have. Foster enjoys great placement in tech, particularly Seattle and some bay area. McCombs is all about Texas. I think if you’re looking for pride, there’s a lot of that to go around in Texas and while McCombs is not a top three MBA program, the UT Austin is a national name.
UW is the dominant school in Pacific Northwest... and I would maybe venture out to guess you’ll find it more along the lines of Bay Area or at least more so than Austin though I would say that Austin is a lot more of a college field town then Seattle. Lots of streets with bars and a nice river promenade where I have spent many of my nights during the conferences and events when we had those....
But both schools are definitely pretty regional. That means their influence doesn’t really go past beyond their state and often just focuses on that city. I’m not sure either one of them checks your goal. Both please heavily into tech so you can almost decide and choose where are you have your internship, whether you want it in Austin or Seattle. It does get to about 100 in Austin but it is also pretty pleasant at night with a nice breeze.
I would say that Austin would be a lot cheaper than Seattle amd you can save up to 10k a year. I think part of it depends if you’re looking to minimize transition and move north or to change things quite a bit and move to TX. Both could be energizing or draining 😂
I don’t think I have a very strong recommendation leaning one way or another unfortunately.
