Hi everyone,
I recently got my UNC (Full ride) and Booth (60k schol) admits. Feeling extremely confused in deciding between the two.
Background: I have 6 years of work experience in the pharma consulting.
International (Indian) applicant.
Post-MBA goal
Primary: Consulting (not hell bent on MBB)
Secondary: I am looking to go into Brand Management roles at Pharma organizations.
Dilemma
My husband will be taking a transfer from India to SF soon. I feel with Booth tag - I'll be able to crack positions in west coast, which might not be possible with UNC. However, full ride at UNC will put my mind at ease and will let me enjoy my 2yrs.
Any thoughts?

Let me help you ease with the decision. I would wholeheartedly say to go to Booth. The kind of exposure you'll get will be immensely helpful for you.
Also, if you want to go into consulting, Booth will give you an edge compared to UNC. Although you got a full ride at UNC, I'd say not to neglect Booth(which also gave you a 60%ride). Full-ride will ease your mind only if you find a job and many in my cohort are still looking for internships. Plus Chicago as a location will favor you in terms of the regional presence of many consulting firms, which will be hard for you to find at UNC.

I really appreciate your honest take. At the same time, sometimes the grass may look greener on the other side... sometimes artificially greener. I would add that many of the students are still looking for internships these days. I know people who are looking for PM internships and they are hurting at M7's esp those who did not have a strong background and are industry switchers. With very few companies hiring Tech PM's, employers can be picky and choose people with existing or similar experience, making it tougher for those changing roles/industries/etc no matter the school brand.
