Thanks MBAGuide and bb for the guidance.

I think I missed mentioning the following few pointers. Could you let me know your views with the consideration of the following points-
    1. My short term target is to focus on energy (finance/utilities/consulting). So, consulting is not the primary target, it is just one of the ways to continue my focus on energy. And my understanding was that the West has more energy and sustainability opportunities.
I may come out as being unclear about my goals but I do not want to be narrowing my options a lot before heading into MBA since many people significantly redirect their goals after 1st year. So, I have selected an industry I am passionate (so far!) and am open to ways to become a leader in the field.

My next (dream) set of schools are Haas, Sloan, Stanford
Again, I may be completely wrong here, so happy to hear your thoughts.

    2. The reason I skipped Europe was due to 2 factors-
    a) willingness to shift base- Europe offers limited permanent movement opportunities
    b) be closer to the source of sustainability discussions, i.e. US

bb: The MBB sponsorship is complex as there are limitations to the firm sponsorship in my path/track.
I am trying for it, but not sure how successful would that be.

A. Given your impressive credentials and a high potential for growth in the consulting industry with MBB, you may want to contemplate whether pursuing a two-year MBA is the best option, considering that the opportunity cost could be lower with one-year MBAs such as LBS and INSEAD (also consulting focused) unless you secure a spot in the M7 programs in the US, which is not currently the case. Typically, individuals with MBB credentials opt for fast-paced MBA programs to accelerate their careers and minimize opportunity costs.
Not sure whether these B-schools would take me closer to my long-term goals.

Thanks a lot
