Hello to all the amazing folks of gmatclub.
Need your urgent support on this one. Have 3-4 days to take a decision as I have visa deadlines to meet.
Profile-Indian male Engg (non-IIT)
GMAT: 740
WE: 46 months
Currently, MBB consultant in the Energy and sustainability division
Aim: to continue in energy (utilities or consulting) in the short term and later pivoting to industry as a sustainability leader
Received Anderson admit with USD 60k scholarship 60k doesn't seem much for UCLA's total cost leading me to the following questions-
Questions- 1. Does a graduation from a top10 bschool vs Anderson make a considerable difference in career?
2. If yes, is the gap big enough to defer the admit by one year and wait for a better b-school considering my profile (explained below)?
Situation/background-Applied to Anderson and Fuqua. Idea was to test the waters since I had only 3 yrs of work ex when I applied and didnt want the top b-schools to force a reapplicant essay the next year (for '26 batch).
Scholarship was a must. Plan was that if I receive significant scholarship then I can consider Fuqua and/or Anderson instead of applying next year.
Applied to Fuqua and Anderson with a non-MBB LOR and 8months of MBB experience
Improvements from the last (for 2025 batch) applications-1. MBB partner LOR
2. Multiple global (Middle east and europe) staffings for energy focused clients
3. Possible early designation (things are developing)
4. Possible permanent mobility to a Middle east office (things are developing)
