Even though IIMA has an edge over ISB when it comes to brand value, I guess people recognize it more for it's 2-year flagship MBA.

Hi Srinjoy,

I assume that since you also have a Masters, your age is over 28? In that case, IIM A seems more appropriate from a class construct perspective - similarly experienced peers, smaller class, close-knit, easier to stand out, less restrictions from companies during placements etc. However, I would add that you should consider whether you are more suited to ISB or IIM A in terms of personality. If you see yourself as a bit of a go-getter, willing to take initiatives and draw attention to yourself, you will do well at ISB, which is a very large class size and thus can be intimidating at times. Otherwise, IIM A is a more conducive environment.

Outcome wise, both schools will give you similar outcomes unless

Best wishes

Hello,
I have received admission offers from ISB PGP as well as IIMA PGPX for 2025-26 academic session.

I am confused between the two institutes, on which one to choose.

I have a 7.5 years of work experience in Oil & Gas industry as a scientist (non-engineer). Completed my M.Sc from IIT-Bombay in 2017.
I have already paid the commitment fees of Rs 4lacs to IIM-A.

Can anyone provide some advice on the same?
I am sure many of the Round-1 applicants are also in the same dilemma. If such candidates can also shared what they are going to choose, it will be of great help.

Thank you ma'am for your suggestions. Yes, I firmly believe that with an age of 30 years I will be a better fit at IIM-A PGPX. But I was inclined more towards ISB due to my diverse background and what the institute has to offer, especially when it comes international module of study as well as exposure to consulting. However, as I got the offer at Mohali campus, it is becoming tough for me to choose between IIM & ISB. Also, I got to know that opportunities are fewer with increasing work-experience at ISB, that may not be the case for me at IIM-A.
