Assume total number of games = y
Number of games played = x% of y = (xy/100)
Number of games won = 40% of (xy/100) = 0.4(xy/100) = 4xy/1000
For the winning percentage to be minimum the lions should lose the remaining matches.
Therefore percentage of total number of matches won = ((4xy/1000)/y)*100 = (4x/10)% = (40x/100)%

Answer: C

Let total # of games be T.
As of now, # of games played = x% of T = xT/100
As of now, # of games Won = 40% of xT/100 = 40xT/(100*100)

minimum percentage of games the lions could have won at the end of the season is when they loose all the rest of the games

So at the end of the season, # of games played = T
So at the end of the season, # of games won = 40xT/(100*100)

% of games won at the end of the season = (40xT/(100*100) * 100 )/T = 40x/100

Hence Ans = C

Bunuel , every one seems to be getting the same ans, C. Can you please provide the explanation for the OA.
