MGMAT SC 5th Edition page 57 has following sentence mentioned:
Wrong: I want to retire to a place WHERE I can relax AND I pay low taxes.
I splitted this sentence into
I want to retire to a place WHERE (I (subject) can(verb) relax(object) AND I(subject) pay(verb) low(adjective) taxes(object) ).
Why is it wrong?
However, it mentioned: "I want to retire to a place WHERE I can relax AND WHERE I pay low taxes." as correct. I agree to right choice but why wrong choice is wrong?

The correct sentence is:
I want to retire to a place where i can relax and where i pay low taxes.
The subject is 'the place' where both these activities are expected to happen.
