Hello,
I am at the last leg of my GMAT preparation. My GMAT is scheduled on 11th August. My quant scores are stabilized at 50-51 (The latter score being the more often result). Since I am not a native speaker, I had to work hard in verbal section from the very beginning. I have appeared for a total of 4 mocks till date including the preliminary GMATprep Mock. My scores in these mocks for the verbal section are as follows:
i. GMATprep Test before preparation 2 months ago- V34
ii. Manhattan GMAT 4-5 weeks ago- V36
iii. GMATprep 2nd Test 2 weeks ago- V39
iv. GMATprep 3rd Test yesterday- V31
Now, as you can see, I did constantly improve my performance in verbal for the past few months. However, my latest test score left me in horror & disbelief. I analyzed the F out of the test and it appears that all the 16 questions that I got wrong out of 36 were spread almost equally between CR, RC & SC. Further, I got only 3 questions wrong in the first 18 questions. However, 13 of the next 18 questions were wrong. This probably points towards possible exhaustion towards the end being the reason for this disastrous verbal score. Also, this was the first time I attempted quant first and verbal later. Now, my main concern is whether I should reschedule my GMAT and postpone until my verbal score is stabilized in at least 3 continuous mocks. I have the leverage to utilize all my efforts in the verbal section since my base in quant is strong and a bit of practice now and then will be enough for a Q50/51 score. I wanted to ask the experienced folks whether my verbal issues can be resolved within the span of next 18 days. If yes, then how to go about it?
