Hello,
While going through Manhattan GMAT for verbal, I came across the following sentences, which it says are incorrect:
1. We adopted new policies with the aim to reduce theft.
2. Following the gold rush, the mining town collapsed.
3. I will leave, but it has to be safe.
4. With an awareness that danger was near, he fled.
WHY? Why are these wrong? The book says they are idiomatically wrong. Can someone please explain.
Please mention if you want me to post the correct answers.

"with the aim to reduce" is unclear, was it our goal to reduce theft or the goal of the policies
