Can anyone help me with sentence structure?
Original sentence
Playwright Samuel Becket, whose well crafted works, unsympathetic examination of the human condition, and theatrical techniques, were given recognition by critics, and also served to influence many writers, that included Edward Albee and Paul Vogel whose writing styles differed from his own.
why is "Playwright Samuel Becket" not a subject?
is "whose well crafted works, unsympathetic examination of the human condition" dependent clause? - whose refer to Samuel Becket - subject and well crafted verb?
usually ", and" marks independent clause
then why ", and also served to influence many writers" is not an independent clause?
In answer choice B
