Answer - A
D is out for using "their" - SV Disagreement E is out because "Due to" needs to be followed by a noun and not "being accused" - a verb B is out because "Being" can not be used as a modifier
Between A and C I guess it boils down to the meaning. Even though C is concise, I feel C seems to be just giving extra information about Chevron. Wheras A uses "Having been accused", which gives a reason for the Chevron's current situation of facing environmental lawsuit.
