I had a small start up for about 8 months that I've had trouble verifying for other jobs. I haven't seen anything yet about employment verification for McCombs? Anyone experience a background check on this yet?

New students have to pass a background check once admitted. I'm not aware of them contacting employers though--my guess is that this primarily a criminal background check. It's not uncommon for MBA students to have entrepreneurship backgrounds, so I wouldn't be concerned.

Most of the schools do background check once admitted. But, in your case you might be require to submit your business certificate proof or transactions. They will ask lot of questions on your entrepreneurial journey in adcom interview.
