Hello,
First post on here but long time lurker and would greatly appreciate if you could evaluate my profile. P
Profile
1. 27/Male
2. American/Lebanese
3. Looking to apply for September intake of '22.
GPA
UG was in the states with a horrible 2.9 due to bad first two semesters then changed majors however never fully recovered, plus two jobs. (Will address those somehow in my application
GMAT
Looking to take it in June with a target score of 700 or hopefully higher.

3 years at a digital marketing agency in DC where i was an account manager and copywriter. In that time I developed content and managed accounts for local businesses.
Move to GCC:
1 year working for a digital marketing agency also as an account manager and copywriter. I gained experience working with both the public and private sector creating campaigns in both Arabic and English dialect.
After this position I realized advertising was not for me, received a job offer from a start up in another country in the GCC.
2 Years
- Product developer: Finding products to sell on our mobile application and would travel to China to meet with suppliers and then to Ukraine to work with our app development team. Gained extensive experience on how to launch a product from A to Z
- Business development: Helped initiate joint venture negotiations with another local company, and also helped in the expansion into Europe.
- Marketing: Created and managed all marketing campaigns and designs
Current position (1year in August)
Working for a Holding Company/Group (also in GCC)
Position - Assistant Manager - Business Development
Due to travel restrictions we have been forced to work with our subsidiaries remotely.
- Working on marketing and branding for a medical company subsidiary
- Overseeing the implementation for an ERP system across all 40+ subsidiaries
- Devised short and long term business strategies for a hotel in Germany
- Created a new logo for an automobile brand

Career Goals: Why INSEAD and why an MBA?
I always envisioned having an international career not limited to one location. INSEAD positions me to land a job with MBB firms. I realize that I have been fortunate enough to gain experience across various industries which made me realize a career in consulting and strategy would be a great choice.

Thank you for sharing your profile. Your profile looks good on the surface. Talking about your stats, your undergrad GPA is on the lower side. You can compensate for it with your solid GMAT score. The average GMAT score for INSEAD is 709, I suggest you try to push your score 720+ to be on the safer ground. It will maximize your chances.
On the work front, you have been at various leadership positions and thus I assume it must speak of great leadership experiences. In addition, you must highlight your contribution to work when taking on various roles and responsibilities. This will demonstrate you as a high-performing individual. You must speak about the impact and initiatives you took as a product developer/assistant manager. You have a great international experience, make sure you demonstrate how you excel from several diverse viewpoints and how you can challenge and change your own ideas while meeting with different opinions and perspectives while also working and winning as a team. Thus your international experience should communicate these values.
I would like to know more about your ECs, do you pursue any hobbies or interests? Talking about the things you're passionate about and how they've made you become a better person in any way would bring a new perspective to the adcoms and make the apps more interesting. ECs aren't about doing something big, they're about what you like doing outside of work. So, strive to dig further and find answers that can demonstrate your diverse personality. You may want to read the article on How to get into INSEAD.You will get to know if you have the qualities and fulfil the MBA requirements INSEAD looks for.
Overall you have a good profile. I like your transparency about your post-MBA goals and the justification for targeting INSEAD as it will give you plenty of opportunities to grow, get the best international exposure you can and change your career path (as a good chunk of INSEADers do change their careers post-MBA).
