But the number of refugees drastically increased from 2000-2005 right? So isn't that enough to hypothesize that the countries surrounding it may not be politically and socially stable?
pearrrrrrr
1. Country T had the fewest refugees/asylum seekers in each of the three years listed. >> ranked by 1995, 2000, 2005 column, we'll see that T did not have the fewest refugees in any years.

2. For the twenty countries listed, the median number of refugees/asylum seekers in 2005 was 245,986. >> ranked by 2005 column, see the 10th and 11th ones: the median should be 240,xxx which is less than 245,986 - don't have to compute actual med

3. The data support the claim that the countries neighboring Country M were politically and socially stable between 2000 and 2005. >> No : Do not draw inference outside of the info given.

No part of question stem explicitly mentions this claim or points us to this conclusion. There is no argument supporting or opposing this statement => Out of scope. Also nowhere in the question is mentioned to infer anything related to stability, much less about politically and socially stable. This is also a general thumb rule in Data Insights questions.

1. How do we not conclude, by extrapolation, that it could be economic stability rather than political/social stability?
2. Maybe it could be that in the given list of countries refugee influx increases (as seen for country M in year 2005) when country is more unstable compared to previous year? Again, which kind of instability are we talking about?

3rd prompt felt like those tricky Verbal-Data Sufficiency questions, where we are penalised for using our CR brainpower.
Anyway, 3rd prompt will stand as "NO" even if we use knowledge outside the scope of the question stem/ table.

The statement is unsupported because it tries to infer that neighboring countries of Country M were politically and socially stable from 2000 to 2005, but the only relevant data provided is a sharp increase in refugees/asylum seekers in Country M during that period, and since refugee flows typically indicate instability and there is no information about the neighboring countries themselves, the conclusion about regional stability is not justified by the data.
