If \(k=\frac{x}{(5^2z^b)}\), where x is a positive integer, and k is expressed as a decimal, will that decimal terminate?
(1) b = 4
(2) z = 3
(1) b = 4
(2) z = 3

k will terminate when the denominator of the expression contains only 2's or 5's or both.
St1: b = 4 --> Clearly insufficient as we do not know the value of z
St2: z = 3 --> If z = 3 and b = 0 then the expression may be terminating. If z = 3 and b = 1 then the expression is not terminating.
Not sufficient.
Combining St1 and St2:
k = x/(5^2 * 3^4)
if x = 3^4 then the expression is terminating.
if x = 1 then the expression is non terminating.
