1. If x rounded to the nearest integer is 3, the value of x could be
any value greater than 2.5, but it is not necessarily 2.5(Insufficient)
2. When x is rounded to the tenths digit, the value is 2.5, x could be
greater than or equal to 2.45 or lesser than 2.55. But it doesn't
necessarily have to be 2.5 (Insufficient)
On combining the information given in both the statements, the range
is 2.5 <= x < 2.55. Hence, x is not necessarily equal to 2.5(Option E)
The question is just asking if X=2.5, So from statement (2) if a non integer number HAS to be rounded in order to get 2.5, then X CANNOT be 2.5 and hence sufficient.
From statement (1) we do not know if X is 2.5 if it is rounded to the nearest integer. X could be 2.5 or 2.6, 2.7 etc?

Check x = 2.5 & 2.53...........Both satisfy Statement 1 & 2 ..Hence, you won't get conclusive answer.
