Is |2x - y| < 10?
|2x - y| < 10 whenever -10 < 2x - y < 10
Statement 1:
2x - y < 10, but it is not given whether -10 < 2x - y or not.
Statement 1 is Not Sufficient.
Statement 2:
y - 2x < 10
=> -(2x - y) < 10
=> -10 < 2x - y, but it is not given whether 2x - y < 10 or not.
Statement 2 is Also Not Sufficient.
Statement 1 and Statement 2 combined:
2x - y < 10 and y - 2x < 10
=> -10 < 2x - y < 10
=> |2x - y| < 10
Statement 1 and Statement 2 together are Sufficient.
So, correct answer is option C.

Say 2x-y=z
we have to see |z|<10
We know |z|=|-z|
Statement 1: we are given z<10
Say z=-20 |z|=20 i.e |z|>10 and if z =5 ; |z|=5<10 hence, not sufficient
statement 2 : y−2x<10 we are given -z<10
Say z=20 |z|=20 i.e |z|>10 and if z =5 ; |z|=5<10 hence, not sufficient
Combining these two statements we can say z is b/w -10 to 10, so sufficient
c is the answer in my opinion
