What is the value of a positive integer x?
(1) x divided by 3 leaves the remainder 2.
(2) x^2 divided by 3 leaves the remainder 1.
(1) x divided by 3 leaves the remainder 2.
(2) x^2 divided by 3 leaves the remainder 1.

(1) x divided by 3 leaves the remainder 2.
x=3m+2
there can be infinite such positive integers i.e 5, 7, 9 , 11...
(2) x^2 divided by 3 leaves the remainder 1.
x^2=3n+1
i.e x=3, 6 , 9 etc all will hold this
Combined
there can be more than 1 such values i.e 9 and 15 for instance
IMO E is the answer
