I've been following the posts in this forum for awhile but this is the first time I am posting a question myself. I am taking my GMAT for the first time on 28th May, yes, in another 5 days exactly. My last mock score with MGMAT CAT (one week ago) was 650 (Q46, V33). I know that I cannot do much in the last few days leading to the exam to improve my score significantly. But in my personal experience with other tests, I've found myself performing better on the real test than mocks because of the adrenaline rush that keeps me alert. All I could do now in the last minute is be prepared to see a similar score in the real exam, tell myself to get real and be ready to re-take the exam in another 2 months or so if my actual score oscillates in the same 650 range (My target score is 700+). Having said that, in some corner of my heart, I still nurse this hope that like the other tests that I had taken previously, adrenaline would help me stay more focused and do better in the real GMAT than my mock, resulting in a slightly improved score.
Posting this question in this forum now seeking encouragement from out GMATers. Anyone out there who did better in the real GMAT that all the mocks? If so, which mock and by how many points? You replies cannot really help me get any better or worse for the exam on 28th but would certainly help me keep my hope up. I am badly in need of it.
Manhattan GMAT is awesome for learning material, but there tests aren't that accurate. I took the official GMAT practice test around the same time I took a Manhattan GMAT one, and got like 50 points higher on the official GMAT practice test.
This must've been hell, how did you survive September with your brain still intact haha. I took two practice tests total (excluded IR too)and decided that was too draining and just did sets of 10 problems in 20 minutes for my studying.
Oh wow wow! Thats awesome! After grueling yourself so much with that many practice tests, you so deserve the 740 that you got. Comparing only with your Manhattan GMAT score, a 50 point score improvement on that gives more hope. Thanks for sharing!

I made a mistake and exhausted my official GMAT Prep practice test early on the preparation and got a poor score. I've improved a lot from there with subsequent tests with Manhattan CATs. Now, I don't want to re-take GMAT Prep at the last minute for two reasons: 1) I might burn myself out before the big day. 2) In case I score lesser in official GMAT Prep Test, I might only feel more discouraged. So, I've decided to go to the devil directly. Thanks

hello Archana, GMAT .You will surely score higher than MGMAt. I was in a similar boat liek you...i scored max 650 in MGMAT CAT ...but let me tell you they are not proper refelection of gmat test though they really prepare u well. If u gettng Q 46 then be assured to hit Q 48 atleast on the real beast. Though i couldnt score 700+ i scored 680 but i wanted to tell you you have great chance of crossing the barrier i developed a mental barrier that i wont cross and would get 650 or so seeing my mock tets results.
Do share you gat score once you are done...all the best you will do it for sure kee p the faith...

Thank you Purnima. With just another two days before the big-day, your assurance gives me a little more confidence. I wasn't convinced with MGMAT CAT results when I saw the score, I mean my performance vs. the result. But, I am not the expert here and decided to stick to it and not to have high my expectations. Didn't want to get disappointed later. Now on reading your reply, I feel so much better. Thanks again! Will surely share my GMAT score once I am done with it.
