I am aware that this may come across as ridiculous and immature however, I want to know what you guys think about my IR score. (I just posted a debrief so you can read all about my story by checking my profile.)
Every time I took the GMAT I got an IR score of 7. Then the last time I take the GMAT when I got the 770 I got an IR score of 6. The ONLY reason I am even contemplating the idea of a retake is because I remember reading somewhere where someone said that if you are going into an investment banking role after the MBA then they are likely to ask for your IR score and you want the highest IR score.
This made me think that I should try to retake the GMAT hoping to once again get a 770 but increasing my IR score to a 7 or 8. Is this stupid? Does anyone know if investment banks ask for your IR score and if they do will they allow you to give an IR score from a previous exam?
Here are previous ACTUAL GMAT scores:
640 42Q 36V IR7 - Actual GMAT 3
710 43Q 44V IR7 - Actual GMAT 4
770 49Q 46V IR6 - Actual GMAT 5
Will they allow me to report my 770 score with my 7 IR? I know when applying to business school they ask you to report scores from your highest overall score.
