Hi Everyone,
I am fairly new to this site and want to improve my score in from 500 to 650 / 700 range.
My profile :
Bachelors (Mechanical) : 65 % (India)
Masters (Mechanical) : 75 % (US)
6.5 Years of experience in Manufacturing firms in US defense (5.5 yrs) + 1 year in INDIA.
I really need new plan / new strategy for this but first of all I want to tell you about my experience during real GMAT.
# AWA
Had prepared a format in my mind. Jotted down all the points and got it done in time with revision. I did pretty well in that section.
#IR
I got worked up in this section due to less practice. Really it took a toll on me during IR section and I felt like sleeping for a while after it was done.
#Quant
I was so much tired of the IR section that it took almost 5 mins to solve 1st question in Quant. I still remember the first question which I would be discussing in my next post. Due to shortage of time I panicked which affected the rest of quant section. Although I completed the paper on time but scored very low in it. I guess the first 15 questions had too many errors. Could that be a reason ?
#Verbal
I thought I was doing very well unless i hit the RC passages. It took me a while to figure out what is author saying. i guess i was worried about the last questions I solved and was keep on pondering about them so I had to re- read the passage lines to completely understand the passage. I have fairly scored well in my Mocks in verbals but I was more panicked during real GMAT. Therefore that section went down the hill.
On a whole my GMAT went bad because I was not much confident during the test. I was not expecting such a low score although I scored 600 + in my mocks.
I need to change my strategy. Kindly help me and suggest me some good ways to do that. I need to retake the test in 1 month.
I am positive I can do it.
Thanks
