Hello GMATClub,
I just finished my 2nd gmat exam and I proud to report that I exceeded my goal of 700! Very thrilled with the results of the exam. GMATClub provided a lot of help. Shout out to Chineseburned for the awesome AWA guide. I also used the Kaplan gmat guide and the Official Guides. Went through every page of these books and took about 5 practice tests this time around.
I did however hit a bit of a snag during my test though. That dang palm scanner wouldn't read my palm after my first break. And as a result, the test deducted a few minutes from my allotted time for the Quant section. It worked fine a hour earlier but it just wouldn't read it. I'm pretty worried that this might cause my scores to be cancelled or something like that. The lady filed a report and stated that the scanner wasn't working and that she checked my ID.
Has this happened to anyone? If so, what became of it? Did it effect your scores?

Considering the busy time of year, it could take upwards of a month for the investigators to do the necessary review of this incident (although it will likely be less time than that). Since it was the Center Scanner that malfunctioned, and not anything that you inherently did, I would suspect that your score will be confirmed as Valid. While it might be a bit nerve-wracking, you're just going to have to wait for the Official word.
