Hi taradejna,
Many GMATers are unhappy with their initial practice scores, but you really shouldn't be. That 460 is just a measure of your skills right now - and you'll improve on that result over time as you learn more about the content, Tactics and little 'secrets' of the Exam. A Score Goal of 600+ is achievable in the 4-month timeframe that you have described - but you will have to hone some specific Quant and Verbal skills to consistently earn that type of Score. Thankfully, the GMAT is a consistent, predictable Exam, so you CAN train to score at a higher level. In addition, with a Goal of 600, you do not need to correctly answer any questions that you think are too hard or too weird - but you will have to keep the little mistakes to a minimum on everything else.
Before I can offer you the specific advice that you’re looking for, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:
1) How long have you studied so far - or are you just starting?
2) Are you planning to take the At-home GMAT or are you planning to take your GMAT at a Test Facility?
3) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?
GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich
