Hi all,
Today (11 March 2022) I did my online Gmat (second retake).
Last time everything went smooth and I got my official score the day after.
This time I faced " a sort of technical issue". Basically, everything was going really good, I did the quant section, I skipped the break, and then did the verbal section. After the verbal section, the pause somehow automatically started, ( I was missing just IR and AWA), I did not left my chair and I reamained for the whole time in front of the camera. Meanwhile, I was trying to reach my proctor. While the break was running, I was calling her and saying " hei, I'm doing the break, can you hear me?"( because before the end of the break we have to do again the check-in process). During all that time, I was trying to reach her, I also used the chat, but with no success. Then the break was almost over, and I showed alone the whiteboard to the camera and did the 360 to my room). Then, I started my IR and then AWA. After that the exam finished, I showed the whiteboard, and I was trying again to reach my proctor... but nothing. I was calling her, using the chat and so on, after like 5 mins she re-appreared -.-. I told her what I did during the break and so on, and she said that everything was fine....
After 3 hours from the finish of my exam I've received an e-mail saying that my exam got flagged for administrative review. It seems to me a nightmare.
Please help me, my deadlines are very closed...

I am sorry to hear of your awful experience with the online exam, evefab, but since the exam has been flagged for review, all you can do is wait. Most reviews end up going in favor of the test-taker, from what I have read in the forum from previous posters who have faced the same issue. The irregularities almost certainly pertain to the break period, but there is no reason for someone to suspect, from what you have written, that you were cheating. The only trouble is that these reviews can take time, sometimes more than a month. If application deadlines are fast approaching, your only sure option may be to take the in-person exam.
I would not suggest contacting Examity or GMAC™ to expedite the review process. Your file will go somewhere into the queue, and that is it. It is not as though someone at customer service can push a button and generate a decision.
Good luck if you decide to take the test again. And if not, be as patient as you can while you await a decision.

From what you describe, you did not break any of the standard Test-taking rules for the At-home GMAT, so I'd have to assume that your situation will likely be resolved in your favor. The fact that your Exam was 'flagged' could mean that there was a technical issue on the Moderator's side of the Exam (for example, maybe the communication portal malfunctioned and the Moderator was unable to respond to your queries). That is obviously something that should be investigated (as it could have impacted not only your Exam, but potentially also a number of future Test-Taker's Exams). In that type of situation, the review process should be fairly simple (as long as your camera and microphone were functioning properly). As AndrewN has pointed out, this process can take time (from a couple of days to several weeks) and it's all on Examity's end - meaning that you just have to sit tight and wait. If you have not received any response in the next 2 weeks or so, then I would suggest that you reach back out. In the meantime, if you are facing any immediate application deadlines, you should contact the Schools and explain your situation. It's possible that the School's Representatives will be fine having you apply as planned (with the consideration that your Official Scores will be available sometime soon).
