Hi folks.

I had a huge draft saved on my GMAT journey but now i can't even post it given that my score is cancelled stating : Testing error.

Guess what my score was ! 770

An absolute dream which is still not a reality.

I don't even understand why the score was cancelled given that there were no issues or any glitch or anything as such.

How do I proceed now?

Also, has anyone faced similar situation?

Sorry to hear this !

Did you take the GMAT Online ? I guess there is a provision to appeal the cancelled score.

I am no expert in the appeals. We have had a number of people in this situation but I haven’t kept track of all of them. 😢

I know one person has hired an attorney to help them out and I think they were able to get their score restored even after they lost an appeal but I am very fuzzy on the details as it has been about a year or so maybe longer… however, I have no idea where you could even start looking for an attorney to appeal the GMAT score violation 🤯

I would definitely refer and bring up your practice scores as well as any of your practice history and learning tools such as handwritten notes or something else that would show your investment into the GMAT, perhaps a course that you have purchased and your progress in the course. You can show proof of purchase and so on.

Consider checking out the info regarding the appeal process on the main MBA website. There is a specific time period you may need to start formally start it.

Hi hD13.

I think that, to deal with the cheating that has been occurring on the online GMAT, GMAC has taken a shoot first and ask questions later type of approach to handling potential cheating. So, unfortunately, they cancel scores for the slightest of reasons, or for what may appear to be no reason at all.

Your move is to go through the appeal process and, as bb suggested, do your best to show that a 770 score is consistent with your preparation and your performance on practice tests.

Also, having scored 770 once, you can take heart in the fact that you can likely do so again if necessary.

Hd13 - do you have any updates here? I'm going through a similar situation here. Scores cancelled with no issues during the test and GMAC did not provide any reasoning.
