Since the admissions are so competitive how should I take this.
Is it a positive sign and shall I keep my hopes up for getting an admit here on.

Hey!
Well I would definitely take it as a positive sign! I mean Top10 schools are looking at your profile and finding it interesting enough to take into consideration. So that's great!!!
First of all, you should think about if there are any other additional materials, i.e. essays or recommendations which you can send in that would improve your profile. At the same time some indication of how dedicated you are to each school might help.
Finally, as a kind of "comfort of last resort" consider that a good proportion of people who apply and don't make it in one year, have a very good chance and make it in the next year with an improved profile and application.
So yes, it's a good thing.
You're batting at the highest level and getting some positive responses. Sure, it's not an admit, but you come from such a tough demographic, and you are being noticed at the highest level.
Hope this helps!!!
Best,
