Waiver for LoR

Question

I started filling out the Harvard and Stanford applications and added my recommenders. When it asked if I wanted to waive my right to view the recommendations. I didn't even think of the negative implications of not waiving this right and wanting to see my recommendations. Now I have a couple questions:

(1) Is there a way to change it and say I will waive my right to see my LoRs? I've tried doing it online on the application, but it won't let me. Can email Harvard and Stanford directly and get it changed?
(2) If there isn't, will this have a big impact on my admission decisions?

I would suggest emailing them if you aren't able to change it online (assuming you haven't already submitted your apps). It's not a deal-breaker, but it may raise some questions

For anyone else in a similar position, both Harvard and Stanford emailed me back. They cannot automatically change it on their end. You will need to remove your recommender and re-add them. If they've put in any information it will be deleted, so make sure to give your recommenders a heads up before you do it.

I did the same thing. Called Admissions and the lady told me the same thing. She also said the school can see that I did a delete and re-add. Of course now I am over thinking it and wondering if the don't waive then waive flip-flop looks worse now than had I left it don't waive. Anyone go through this in the past and still get accepted!?
