Hi,
I am a new member on this forum.I am very impressed by this Forum.Hats Off to you all.I am looking to start my GMAT preparation.Since my native language is not English I beleive Vocabulary is my weekest part. Because when I am doing the RC's or SC , many times I do not understand the meaning of the words and hence the sentence. So can somebody advice how should I build my strength on this ? Since it is difficult to study/solve RC's,SC's,Verbal before I gain on Vocabulary. Please advice.

# Read up. Books, newspapers, magazines, anything you can lay your hands on. Understand what you read - not only the dictionary meaning of the words, but also the structure of the sentences and the way they sound.
I suggest you do both these things (developing vocabulary, gmat prep) simultaneously. I had been through this process of vocabulary improvement. This takes lots of time, and ur never sure whether it has improved. So better do both the things simultaneously. :-D
Good luck!!
