I meant applicants based in international locations. So for example while the interview deadline for Rd 1 was Nov 11, I did not see anyone report interview invite on GMAT club post Nov 1, the date around which it was reported that max hub slots were already booked. Someone in a previous post said the same. I really doubt that they will add more interview slots. Again just a speculation.

i just got the invite. US citizen but living in asia. all of the hubs (except brazil) are full...the only options left are on-campus and phone interview. Anyone know if Wharton will release more interview slots for Hub interviews?

I'm from Brazil and have no updates yet. Since there are places left in Brazil, I guess I still have a chance.

anyone applying to HCM and got an invite today ??

I applied to HCM - no invite yet. I am US based international student.

HCM student here...no invite here too, US based abt an hour drive from Philly.

Any idea when HCM students were invited for interview in R1?

Maybe i'm just grasping at straws here,..but could Wharton be inviting US folks based on location as well? For those w/ invites.....can u give your regions (e.g. Northeast, West, etc etc)? I know its a stretch because off-campus interviews are available...but Wharton seems to have a rationale for how they release their invites. I'm only a 2 hour drive south of Philly, I guess i'm hoping that they want to invite me but are giving priority to those who might have a harder time securing a convenient interview time.

I also notice that a lot of Lauder folks are getting invited today,....could Wharton be extending all their Lauder invites as well as some regular MBA invites? And then perhaps next week release only regular MBA invites (meaning they haven't released the bulk of their regular MBA invites)?

I really don't want to dash any hopes, but I'm also about 2 hours south of Philly (DC) and I got my invitation yesterday. Not Lauder, just standard 2 year MBA.

HOWEVER there are still weeks to go, and there is no way on earth Wharton released all domestic invitations yesterday. I feel 100% certain that more invitations will go out next Thursday and probably even again the Thursday after that. I wouldn't be worried at ALL if I were you. Good luck!!

Thanks politico. It seems like only international, Lauder, HCM, and rockstars domestically have gotten them. I'm not sweating it yet; I'd say that 90% of the invites to vanilla applicants have yet to be sent out.

Thank you all for supporting each other and let's not panic. Wharton sent out a lot of invites on the last day last year and we should be able to land an interview next week or in two weeks. A watched pot never boils?

Haven't got the invitation yet, but I'm a domestic applicant based in China! I'm starting to get worried...

Your statement is wrong, b/c by the looks of your profile, you're a rockstar hello

But I agree, I think there are a lot more invites to go out especially after looking at the invite timeline graphic R1 vs R2. To throw out some more speculation, I got an invite yesterday and I submitted my app way early (Nov). So, maybe its FIFO for regular 2-year applicants.

Using beatthegmat stats to estimate:

R1: 84 invites of 301 applicants ~ 28%

R2: 54 invites SO FAR of 393 applicants ~ 13.7%

So probably 50% of invites are left based on my analysis, this makes sense considering we are about halfway through the interview invite period. I expect the statisticians out their to give me some grief about sample size, etc but at least we have a general idea.

Congrats to the first 50%!

Definitely not FIFO because I submitted 12 hours before the deadline. Also, I am definitely not a rockstar. Probably just random!

And i'm pretty sure the "rockstar" thing doesn't hold water because Wharton (and every other b-school) repeatedly assert that the timing of invite has nothing to do w/ the strength of the candidate. The reason why people freak out when not invited in the first waves is, obviously, with each wave our odds drop dramatically.

Could you please submit your "non-rockstar" profile and any other schools you got dinged by/ got interview at? Congrats!

past 6 years was a serial entrepreneur. Most successful biz did ~ 2 mil USD in revenue

Not a rockstar? Are you on crack or do you simply not know what B-schools value? Starting a biz w/ $2 mil revenue trumps a 780 gmat my friend.

I honestly think that your start-up/ innovation experience got you the interview. Well done!

Freaking out here, just as everyone else, got a ding from Columbia and waiting on W, Stern and HBS. Interview at Booth.

Damn it. I actually started a business in college and one of my friends (co-founder) is still running it after making it his full time job. I haven't mentioned it anywhere in the application and removed it from the resume since I have around 9 years of WE. Now I feel like I should have added it.
