Wharton EMBA Round 2 – Still time to Apply?
As the December holidays approach, candidates often begin to question whether they still have enough time to apply for Wharton’s Round 2 EMBA deadline in early February. It is Wharton's last EMBA deadline for the class starting in 2020. With weeks to go before the February deadline, do you have enough time to write outstanding essays and secure excellent recommendation letters?
Happily, the answer is yes, you still have plenty of time. In fact, many candidates have waited to apply because they know they need to take advantage of their winter breaks from work, when they will study for the Executive Assessment (or GMAT) and craft their essays. So, you will be in good company if that is your plan.
I recommend, however, that you pace yourself, setting target dates for when you will have the key components of the application finished, including your resume, essays, application form, and interview.
One key thing to remember is that your recommendation writers will likely be taking some time out for vacation themselves during the winter months. So, be sure to approach your writers to understand their availability. It can be nerve-racking to be waiting on a recommendation writer to turn in their letter of support if they are returning from vacation close to the deadline.
