Hi there, I'm accepted at both programs and have to make a choice. Working in IT industry for 12+ years and living in SF Bay area. It's a hard choice because of the school brand (Wharton) vs. strong technology presence in the Bay area (Haas/Berkeley). Any comments will be much appreciated.

What is you post MBA goal?
Wharton is relatively new in SF and Haas has a stonger network. If you need network in Bay area choose Haas, if you need brand name - choose Wharton (however it has a strong brand in finance and not tech).
hope this helps :-D

Most likely continue climbing the career ladder and the goal is to be a high tech corporate exec. I might choose to found my own company though. A wharton brand might do better at sand hill road.

This was me a year ago. I chose Haas based upon the fit of the program and the school vs my values/goals. I can certainly vouch for the great tech connections (although I'm not in tech myself) and the strong entrepreneurial streak. The silicon valley immersion week will be right up your alley. The leadership courses and the quality of the classroom dialogue (and hotel dialogue) with my classmates have exceeded my expectations.

In all seriousness, you have a great problem and two fantastic options. I'd be more than happy to answer any questions you have in detail - send me a message.

After attending both welcome receptions I felt Wharton is a better fit for me, so Wharton it is.
