Hi Arvind,
Thanks for the reply. Below are my responses to the questions posed:
1. No promotions on paper but moved from 1 role to another but 2 job hops
2. In my IIMK MBA I got 2.6 gpa from 4.33. also is my mba from here going to add any value for my admission in European/german college? Or only my undergrad which is BBA from modest college will be considered?
3. My pref after MBA is mostly towards marketing/data analyst/product management/ strategy side of the business.
Posted from my mobile device nitinsinghiimk - thanks for the updates.
The IIM tag can help: it is recognized in most countries, particularly if you highlight in the essays about the analytical rigor, selectivity ratio/ process and business exposure you gained: factors which B-schools value. The GPA seems a bit low though.
Aiming for a GMAT score 10-20 points above your target school's average can help, but keep in mind that applications are evaluated well-rounded and holistically. Addressing "why second MBA, and why now" would be important in your case. Would suggest introspecting to identify the specific skill-sets (beyond the geography shift) and how an MBA can help you gather those.
Also think more specifically about the kind of roles you want to transition to, as the ones you mentioned are a bit broad. Speaking to alumni ideally in target roles can help here.
I refrain from recommending schools based on this initial review, as multiple factors (including your personal preferences) are to be considered.
Hope this helps a bit. Feel free to reach out for a deeper chat.
Regards,
Arvind
